Met Office selects Webcredible for usability testing
Webcredible, the user experience consultancy, today announced its appointment by the Met Office for a usability testing project on its website. The project will focus on the new interactive weather mapping system, assessing the usability of this and offering recommendations on how the user experience can be improved.
The Met Office is the UK's national weather service. As a trading fund within the Ministry of Defence, its duties including weather forecasting, researching weather and climate change, and helping to keep roads open and planes flying. Given the interactive functionality of the new weather mapping system on the website, the user experience is especially crucial.
Webcredible's usability testing will consist of eight participants, three weather experts and five members of the public, performing various tasks on the weather mapping section of the website. Analysis and recommendations on the user experience will then be communicated to the Met Office, based on the results.
