Usability testing training now publicly available

Webcredible today announced their first open usability testing training course, to be held on Monday 24th April 2006. The training has until now been provided purely on a private basis. “We've had a large influx of enquiries to run courses to the public, so it was a natural decision to offer this open course,” says Tim Fidgeon, Webcredible's Head of Usability and trainer for the course.

Webcredible are firm believers in learning by doing so the training is hands-on and fully interactive. During the one day session participants complete a series of exercises designed for them to discover the answers by themselves, and are then given the opportunity to put into practice what they've learnt. By the end of the day, each participant will be confident in being able to plan, run and analyse their own usability tests.

Participants will additionally receive a full-colour course manual, outlining all tutorials and guidelines covered during the day. The manual comes complete with a set of templates participants can then use in their own usability testing sessions.

Fidgeon, who has a Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction and over seven years experience, continues, “Webcredible's unique, highly interactive method of training seems to be working - positive feedback from our five training courses runs at 98.8%.” With previous participants including the likes of Barclays, BBC, The Guardian, Norwich Union, and Yamaha,Webcredible's training courses seem set to continue.

The new usability testing training course will be held on Monday 24th April 2006. More information on the course can be found on the usability testing training page, or by contacting Webcredible directly.
