Information architecture (IA) training philosophy
Our IA training follows one basic principle:
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime
Chinese proverb
Put simply, we don't want to create your IA for you - we want you to be able to do it by yourself, again and again in the future. The information architecture training lasts for one full day, during which time you'll complete a series of exercises designed for you to discover the answers by yourself and then put into practice what you've learnt.
By the end of the day, you'll have acquired a deep understanding of how to research and design a full information architecture. As a result of our hands-on information architecture (IA) training, you'll have:
- Confidence in managing an end-to-end user-centered design and IA process
- A deeper understanding of your new knowledge
- Ownership of what you've learnt
Our information architecture (IA) training courses are relatively small (maximum 10 participants) due to their interactive nature and are informal and fun.
Our information architecture (IA) training centre
IA courses are run at our purpose-built training centre at the Webcredible offices in London & some other locations across the UK. The information architecture (IA) training itself is run in a bright airy room with each person having access to a PC. You can also use our break-out area during breaks and lunch where refreshments are provided throughout the day.
