Social media course duration & details
The course lasts for 1 day (10:00-17:00) and takes place and takes place at our purpose-built training centre at the Webcredible offices in London. You will:
- Receive all training materials and an 80-page social media manual (containing all tutorials)
- Get very well fed whilst you're here - we provide light breakfast snacks, a buffet-style lunch with hot & cold canapés and refreshments throughout the day.
- Attend a relatively small (maximum 10 participants) social media course that's interactive, informal and fun
What you'll learn on the social media course
Our social media training is fully based around the principle of learning-by-doing. During day 1 of the interactive training course you will:
- Discover the world of social media, what it is exactly, why you should use it and how to get maximum benefit
- Learn about social media monitoring tools and how to use them
- Discover how to use social media for benchmarking, "listening" and engaging with customers
- Learn how to effectively use the likes of Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn within your social media strategy
- Learn the dos and don'ts of using blogs, microblogging sites and social networks
- Find out how to select and use the most suitable social media platforms for your business
- Find out how social media impacts monetisation through other channels
- Uncover the potential pitfalls of social media and the importance of a having a social media policy
- Discover the power of social media knowledge as you use the insights across other digital channels
- Acquire a deep understanding of how to manage a highly effective social media campaign, delivering outstanding results at minimum cost
Who is the social media course for?
This course is particularly suitable if you are:
- Looking to learn more about (or are new to) social media, have previously just used social media in a personal capacity or have begun to run your company's Twitter or Facebook
- Seeking to learn best practices as well as what websites and platforms are available
- Looking for an overview of social media and the different areas including blogging, microblogging, social networks and review sites
- Wanting to learn about best practice and etiquette and how to find the most suitable platforms for your organisation to achieve its goals
You don't need any prior knowledge but an idea of why you or your company wants to use social media would be useful as the training focuses on how you might best achieve these goals/targets.
If the course seems too basic then you may prefer to attend our advanced social media course which usually takes place the day after this course.

Jamie Hammond
Jamie is Head of Analytics & Optimisation and has 10+ years' experience working in digital agencies. His areas of expertise include social media, Google Analytics consultancy and training. He is an expert in providing analytical insight and recommendations for improving websites and related marketing activity.
Kristin Kelly
Kristin is a Senior Analytics & Optimisation Manager. Her experience predominantly lies with social media, analytics and conversion optimisation. She comes from a technical background and was previously a programmer/developer. Additional areas of speciality include search engine optimisation, online media/marketing through display advertising, email, affiliate, blogging, mobile and online analytics.
Our training facilities

Our social media courses are all run at our purpose-built training centre at the Webcredible offices in London.
All our training is run in a bright airy room with each person having access to a PC. You can also use our break-out area, with refreshments provided throughout the day.
