Why you voted this way
A big thank you to all of you that took the time to tell us why you voted how you did. Some of our favourite comments from you, divided up by how you voted, are:
Applying for student loan
All of the options would be very useful when starting university and make life easier but applying for a student loan online and the course itself comes up at the top for me personally.
Andrew Cooper, Manchester, UK
I need to know with what additional money I count besides what my parents can provide me.
Zaida, UK
Because it means whether I can afford to go to university or not.
Cliff, Norwich, UK
Choosing course units
The course is the main reason for going to Uni so sorting that out is a priority.
Robyn, Melbourne, Australia
It's the only option I needed for my recent start as a post graduate at UCL. I applied to the course directly (no clearing), have accommodation and a bank account already, can't get a student loan, figured I'd meet other students on the course...
Franny, London, UK
Meeting fellow students
All the activities are useful online, but meeting fellow students is something you simply cannot do offline at all.
J E Rimmington, Brighton, UK
Meeting fellow students is the first thing, because as a new student I would want to get along before anything else.
Adebayo Peter Olaonipekun, Lagos, Nigeria
Applying for student bank account
Bank queues are a nightmare in the first few weeks when thousands of students rush to open an account.
Former student at Leeds University, UK
Applying for accommodation
Finding accommodation in a new location can be time consuming and by looking online at what's available without having to trawl around would be of benefit.
