Textual description of consistent layout
The comic strip is made up of three panes:
- A distressed web user is having trouble finding the checkout at Ocosmo.com. “I'm ready to pay but can't find the checkout” he groans. Shopping Cart is also frustrated and getting really angry as he's always getting lost on this site.
- Shopping Cart has made his way to where he thought the checkout was, only to find that it's been replaced by the opening times of Ocosmo. There's a large hover notice board saying that the store is open 24 hours a day. Webcrawler has the solution, “I'm going to move the checkout back to where it was” she says.
- Shopping Cart eventually finds checkout number 11 because Webcrawler has put it back where it was before. Dr Webcredible explains that if you, “Ensure the layout of a site remains consistent then users will not get confused.”
